MedEquip4Kids are delighted to announce a new charity of the year partnership with BetterGov!

Our charity has been working hard since 1985 to ensure that hospitals have the correct equipment needed to support the health of children and babies across the UK. The hospitals we work with send requests for equipment not available from limited NHS funds.

By pledging to support our charity for a whole year, the BetterGov team will be helping MedEquip4Kids to raise funds for our vital work. And we’ll be helping them every step of the way!

Speaking on the partnership, Bonnie Noott Compliance and Engagement Administrator at BetterGov said: “Providing our support to MedEquip4kids was an easy decision, being a cause close to the heart of one of our team members here at BetterGov. Supporting children in hospitals with vital equipment and by providing programmes for Mental Health for young children is so important, it’s not only helping people in need- it’s lifesaving. The work and motivation to raise money from MedEquip4Kids for this is aspiring and uplifting which we here at BetterGov can’t wait to start fundraising for.”

Hayden, our Corporate Fundraiser said: “I am so glad that BetterGov has chosen MedEquip4Kids as their nominated charity for 2023! It is always great to see that companies care about their communities and want to give back.”

“The specialist treatment chairs are a new vital resource for the therapy team and nursing staff to be able to safely and comfortably sit extremely complex, dependant, critical care patients out of bed. The chairs allow us to begin the patient’s rehabilitation journey by providing appropriate postural support at the same time as pressure relief to allow the patient to build the muscle strength to hold themselves up against gravity. This allows them to begin to interact with their environment in a more normal way, enabling them to participate in meaningful activities such as meal times and activities of daily living.”
