MedEquip4Kids has presented a plaque in recognition of the amazing fundraising achievements of Slattery Patissier and Chocolatier in Whitefield. Famous for their delicious chocolate and cakes, John Slattery and his team have supported the charity since 2005, raising a fantastic £60,000 for children’s healthcare.
Last Christmas alone, Slattery’s raised over £7,000 for us through offering a truly fabulous and incredibly generous raffle prize – a whole YEAR of treats and offers worth a total of £2,000. These included a meal for two every month in the Masons dining room, a one-day Slattery course, celebration cakes, seasonal gifts, a private tour of the business, birthday treats, and the ultimate Christmas hamper filled with chocolate, mince pies, cakes, hot chocolate and much more.
The funds raised will help hospitals in the North West by providing much-needed equipment so every child can receive the excellent medical care they deserve.
MedEquip4Kids Chief Executive Ghazala Baig presented the plaque, saying: “We are so grateful to John and to everyone at Slattery’s for their hard work and support over the years. We hear from families all the time how much they appreciated the medical care their child received and we’re honoured to have contributed by making sure all the right equipment was available.”
John Slattery said: “As always we’re delighted to help a worthwhile cause that does so much to benefit sick kids. Thanks to all who helped make the raffle such a successful event and we’ll look forward to holding it again in December 2020.”
