A special thank you to Mill Gate Shopping Centre in Bury, who have raised an amazing £1,184.27 for MedEquip4Kids through the centre’s birthday celebrations and by taking part in the One Great Day event in 2017.
Mill Gate was one of 140 shopping centres across the UK taking part in One Great Day, a series of family and community charity events held throughout June and July to raise money for children’s health charities.
Mill Gate entertained families and shoppers alike with a host of activities including a jazz quartet, face painters, sponsored cycling, rowing and waxing. The management team also walked 25,000 steps a day during July to coincide with the centre’s 25th birthday.
Marie Gribben, centre manager at Mill Gate, says: “One Great Day is about community engagement and raising money for a number of great causes, but it is also a fantastic opportunity for families in the area to get together and enjoy a fun day out whilst spending quality time together.”
The funds raised will help us fund vital medical equipment and facilities for local hospitals, giving babies and children a better experience of healthcare.
