For the third year running, the Burns Night Celebration in Altrincham has raised much-appreciated funds for MedEquip4Kids.  Nearly 100 guests attended the event, which was held at the  Cresta Court Hotel and featured traditional Burns Night fare and poetry followed by dancing. A fun photo booth provided extra entertainment and a fabulous raffle completed the night.

MedEquip4Kids Project Co-ordinator Evelyn Glarvey, who was at the celebration with her husband and friends, says: “As well as being a thoroughly enjoyable evening, the Burns Night dinner raised a fantastic £1,300, which will help us provide the extra equipment our local hospitals need. A special thank you to Garry, Graham and Brian for organising the event and for your continued support.”

“The switch adapted toys have been a wonderful addition to our school. Both staff and children were thrilled to have some new exciting resources. The children love the lights and movement many of these switch toys have and are highly motivated to explore and investigate how to make them work. They have been great for pupils to develop their understanding of cause and effect and we have also noticed improved concentration and engagement when using them. Often it can be difficult to find toys that are robust enough to withstand lots of heavy use AND be interesting and fun. These new resources tick all those boxes. They have made a noticeable impact on the children’s development in this area.”
