Countess of Chester Hospital - Vital Signs Monitor
The Neo Natal Unit at the Countess of Chester Hospital provides a full service that encompasses Intensive Care, High Dependence and Special Care services. The hospital takes patients from across Cheshire and into North Wales.
They have asked us to provide a Vital Signs Monitor to help monitor pre-term and sick babies. The monitor is a single, portable unit that measures heart rate, oxygen levels, respiration, blood pressure and temperature. The Vital Signs Monitor would be hugely beneficial to the babies treated on the unit, because it would enable staff to monitor all aspects of babies in critical care and high dependency.
The monitor allows staff to monitor a baby’s condition with minimal intrusion and takes away the problem of a baby being wired up to several machines which can be more uncomfortable.
This equipment would benefit over 100 babies every year at the Countess of Chester, and will ensure that the Neo Natal Unit continues to provide the very best care for premature and sick babies.
The monitor costs £4,538.
