Over the years various corporate companies have played a key role in supporting Medequip4kids through participating in our events and raising vital funds.
Their support is unprecedented and goes a long way to help sick babies and children in the North West. Below are some of the companies we owe thanks to.
Barclays are a well known high street bank who have put numerous teams together for many of our running challenges. These include the Great North Run and the 2006, 2007 and 2008 Manchester 10K Runs, raising thousands of pounds on our behalf.
Cooperative Insurance based in Manchester provide insurance, savings investments and pensions. They have been helping MedEquip4Kids since 1997 holding toy raffles, making general donations entering teams into the recent Manchester 10K. In 2008 they are supporting us further with yet another team entered in the Manchester 10K and numerous events planned.
Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu (DTT) is an organisation of member firms which offer services in auditing, tax, consultancy and financial advisory. They too have been involved in many of our events contributing time, effort and money to worthwhile causes around the North West. Deloitte’s have taken part in many of our past events including two of our largest in 2007; the Lancashire Loop Bike ride through Cockerham, where they put a team together to complete the 45mile or 100mile circular ride, along with our Shimmer Ball at the Radisson Edwardian Hotel. Deloitte's have raised over £6,000 in the past twelve months.
MedEquip4Kids has been chosen as the official charity for FC United of Manchester during 2008. FC United of Manchester is a new football club founded by Manchester United supporters with the aim of creating a club owned and democratically run by its members promoting grass roots football.
In its first year, the club won the league title, drawn record-breaking crowds, voted Non-League Club of the Year in the National Game Awards and attracted vast media attention so we are thrilled to have their support over the next 12 months.
